Specification of Plat Timah Hitam
Lead, also known as Pb metal, is a heavy metal that occurs naturally in the earth's crust and is spread to nature in small amounts through natural processes including volcanic eruptions and geochemical processes.
Pb is a soft metal that is bluish or silvery gray with a melting point of 327.5 ºC and a boiling point of 1,740 ºC at atmospheric pressure.
Lead / Tin has a shiny silver chrome luster when freshly cut, and immediately becomes dull grayish upon exposure to air.
Lead / Lead is very resistant to chemical corrosion and can be used indoors or outdoors.
Doing work with this material is very easy and does not require special equipment, as it can be bent and shaped.
How much Lead / Lead is needed to coat the walls of a radiology room? The calculation is simple.
Example:
If the area of the room is 3 X 2 mtr2 and you want to install 3 m high,
then the formula:
- 2 x (Length + Width) x Height
- 2 x (3 mtr + 2 mtr) x 3 mtr = 30 mtr2
If you use Lead with a thickness of 2mm, 3 rolls of lead plate are needed, so the total requirement for Lead is
3 rolls x 250 kg = 750 Kg.
